Prune — Version & Trash Cleanup for Confluence

Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This policy explains how Prune — Version & Trash Cleanup for Confluence ("Prune", "the app"), provided by Kenan İslamoğlu ("we"), handles data.

Summary

What the app reads and changes

When an administrator uses the app, it reads, through Confluence's APIs: the list of spaces, the pages and blog posts in them with their version numbers and dates, the trash, and whether the signed-in user is a Confluence administrator. This is processed in memory and discarded when the request ends. When an administrator confirms (or a daily rule they saved runs), the app deletes old versions of pages and blog posts and purges items from the trash.

What the app stores (Forge storage, inside Atlassian)

This data is deleted when the app is uninstalled, as Forge does for all apps.

Permissions requested: read spaces, pages and blog posts; delete pages, blog posts and content versions; read users (to check that the person using the app is a Confluence administrator); app storage. The app does not request email addresses or access to other products.

Where data is processed

All processing and storage happen inside Atlassian's cloud, where Atlassian runs your site and Forge apps. No data is transferred to us or to third parties.

Support requests

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than needed (at most 24 months), and never sell or share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

The app stores no personal data. For data held in Confluence, contact your site administrator or Atlassian. Questions about this policy: prune@kenanislamoglu.com.

Changes

We will update this page and its date if the app's data handling changes.
